
MARGOT LIEBMAN • writer
Margot began her career in non-profit management as the Program Director for Arts in the Shelters,
an afterschool arts education program at Art Start Inc. As a result of this work she was awarded the
PASEsetter Excellence in After School Education Award; the Sacatar fellowship to teach art in Bahia,
Brazil; and the Leadership in Education Award from the Harvard Graduate School of Education where,
in 2006, she graduated with a masters degree in Human Development and Psychology. Margot has
spent the past few years working as a consultant, researcher, strategist, curriculum writer/developer,
and educator for various non-profit organizations. She is currently on the boards of two New York Citybased
non-profits. Margot is also an illustrator and fiction writer.
At Wingo, Inc., Margot is responsible for grant writing and management, foundation and corporate
prospect research, as well as writing solicitation appeals, newsletters, websites and other case
materials. Margot works closely with clients to help translate the mission, programs, accomplishments,
and needs of their organizations into compelling narratives. Through persuasive and engaging text,
Margot helps clients cultivate – or continue – long-term relationships with the individuals, foundations
and corporations who support their work.
